Where to keep female products when at school?

I have been keeping my tampons/pads in a pocket of my backpack, but for some crazy reason people love going through my stuff. Like this one time a guy asked to borrow my calculator, he was sitting in my seat and I was across the room, I said okay. Then he proceeded to open the pocket where I keep my stuff and I was like ahhhhh don't look in there!!! And luckily I got there before he saw anything, but he kept pestering me because he wanted to know what I was hiding. My locker is too far away and just keeping them in my backpack isn't going to work either. Don't say your pants pocket because I like to carry some just in case I forget to bring one or someone else needs one too.
