Any problems with 2005 corolla CE?

i bought a 2005 corolla in april, my first car to make payments on and everything. nothing has seemed to be wrong, except my cruise control broke today, could anyone tell me why? i was going 45 mph so it was above the minimum it needs to be at. oh and when i'm driving, sometimes my rpm randomly goes up when i don't push the gas pedal down any farther, i've never had that happen with any other car. i bought a toyota cuz they're dependable and everything and i want to make sure i've made the right choice! :)
