Please help!! this guy likes me that I dont like back!?

So to keep this short, my friends kept telling me he liked me and the signs where all there (offered to carry books, always trying to hug me, ect.) so I just told him i am not ready for a relationship. He has asked me over to his house 2 times in the past 2 weeks and i have came up with excuses. My friend just told me he still likes me. This monday he asked about me coming over on friday and he kept sending me msgs and chats on fb to remind me and remind me in person to ask my parents. I told him they said they would think about it. He is pestering me again. I feel so bad I dont like him back but I have been pushed into relationships before and I dont want it to happen again. what should I say to him? i just want to be friends nothing more
