I'm looking into building a custom vehicle capable of extreme off road conditions but still street legal. my question is: What would be more stable and less likely to tip over on extreme angle climbs suck as rock climbing, a mid engine, rear engine, or front engine? I am really interested in and am planning on takin a lot of design characteristics from a old military prototype called to FMC XR311, the only problem is I'm not so sure that having the engine so far in the rear is such a good idea for off roading in multiple terrains.
