Fascinated by death, but scared to death to die.... is this normal?

Ok I am not devil worshiper or anything, but am very fascinated about all aspects of death. How?when?why?how the family's are dealing with it? I seem to be very curious when I hear someone dies, I want to know all the details and exactly how the family is doing, even if I didn't know the person. ON the other hand I am scared to death of dieing..... Is this normal thoughts or weird?
