Can someone help me with my audio please?

Mt brothers laptop does a similar thing. His HDD is on the way out but I think, has yours been running slower?. Also, just another suggestion, though un likely. Do you use an external interface to record with?. try plugging that in and seeing if the sound out-put works any better. If it does, then you have word-clock issues, being that the interface is master, and your computer is slave, and it's not reverting back to it's own internal generator when you dis-connect the interface.
